Kannawidan: YLocos Festival

        The province of Ilocos is known for its beautiful and colorful festival, for the nice and wonderful traditions and the meaningful culture. One of the most awaited festivals is the Kannawidan: Ilocos Festival. It is celebrated in the month of February. In this Kannawidan Festival we can encounter games and shows. Last February, 2012. The government made contests about cooking, parlor games, pageant etc. There were also food chains in every side of the road in the Centro.

     “Through this “Kannawidan Ylocos Festival, we are preserving and sustaining our old traditions, attractive products and practices as we are also promoting our tourism industry,” Vice Governor DV Savellano said.

     The 2012 Kannawidan Ylocos Festival opened with a concelebrated mass held at the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral followed by a procession of the patron saints of the 40 parishes including the images of Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary around the province’s capital city

     I can’t deny that Kannawidan: Ylocos Festival is great and amazing.  Come on and visit and explore what is the mystery about Kannawidan.

ICT

       As a student or learner and as a high school student, I had fed already a lot of lessons, acquaintances, information and knowledge. Mathematics, English, Science (Chemistry and Physics), Filipino, MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health), Economics, Values Education, Research (Statistics) and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) are the subjects that I am taking right now in my school. Actually I am a graduating student. It’s hard, rigid and stiff every time the discussion and conversation starts in class but I need to extend my patience to have a better and meaningful end and at the same time, so that I will know what the topic is all about and so that I can participate in the discussion.

        I’ve learned a lot already here in ICT, but I want more, I want to learn at the same time to discover more about ICT. I’ve a learned already a few knowledge about the Internet and HTML Tags. The origin of the Internet is the first topic we have taken up in the ICT.  And the HTML Tags as follows. I’m learning at the same time I am enjoying doing things related to ICT. It stresses the role of unified communications and the integration of telecommunications(telephone lines and wireless signals), computers, middleware as well as necessary software, storage- and audio-visual systems, which enable users to create, access, store, transmit, and manipulate information. It is also consists of IT as well as telecommunication, broadcast media, all types of audio and video processing and transmission and network based control and monitoring functions. All of these are the things or the part or the contents of ICT. It was so interesting, important and significant for the people in the world especially we, the students.

        See? What technologies have? You will learn at the same time we are discovering. We can make good presentation, awesome projects and wonderful reports in just a snap and in the use of our minds. It’s so amazing! All things can make by technologies. And through this, it can help and support the students to become a better individual someday.  

        

My Dream, My Future

        All of us have a dream… an ambition. Dream leads us to better and superior future. With the help of our acumen and astuteness, adventurous mind and the feelings come with our soul and spirit will guides and escorts us to our future. We’re dreaming a blissful and beautiful life, a perfect job and love and an unlimited and infinite source of joy and pleasure. All of these, I want in the future. I really enjoy being a simple person and being a simple student right now. I am a graduating student and they say that, “High School is just the start of journey being a student.” We are facing challenges… a bunch of challenges… when we climb the stair of challenges and problems, as we go higher and higher, the challenges are even harder and stiffer. Life is like a wheel, it is a cycle that when one part of the wheel is missing, it can’t be process. The wheel will be destroy, abolish and ruin.

        My dream is to become an accountant someday; I want to become a better person someday. I’m not aiming for a perfect life, I want it simple. I want to have a simple and happy family. I want to serve the public someday. All I want is simple… simple life, simple family, simple job and a simple but endless love.

Happy New Year!

Every people change and have some adjustment… annually we are celebrating and revelling the New Year’s Day and it is usually celebrated at the 1^st day of January. They said it is the day to start and fright something new. Start of a new beginning at the same time a new ending. Start of a new life and existence. Start of a new journey and excursion to our dream, trance and aim in life. I believe that determination and willpower is what makes us succeed and prosper and blind determination isn’t always helpful and obliging to us. New Year is one of the most celebrated and eminent days in the whole world but we don’t have the same day to celebrate and rejoice it. In the Philippines, people celebrate it in their own unique and inimitable ways. People usually use fire crackers or in general they were making and creating noise. Sound or clatter to move out the bad spirit in their houses. The preparation begins by decorating and embellishing houses, buying gifts and most of all to have a mass before the celebration of the New Year. They said, “New Year is every man’s birthday.” Be always at war with our vices, at peace with our brothers and sisters and let each day count. CHANGE… the depraved and wicked attitudes and personalities we have, say sorry to the person we have hurt, offended and miffed for and love and treasure them as well as how we love ourselves. Happy New Year to all of us. Another year to live and count, to deport anxiety and distress and to love and give!

Adore and Love Our Own Dialect!

        Parlance or dialect is very imperative and vital for us to apprehend and comprehend with each other. Ilocano,Tagalog, Visaya and Panggalatok are some of the dialects here in the Philippines. Every region in the Philippines has their own dialect. Ilocano is the one. Some says that Ilocano is the stiffest and solidest to utter, to phonate and when it is chattered. It is arduous and laborious to absorb, to learn and to erudite for. But, everything can be swot, learn and study if we like it to be perfect and faultless if it is time for us to use that dialect, Ilocano. As an Ilonggo, I can’t say that I have mastered and grasped speaking, articulating and inferring Ilocano dialect but I am trying my best. Wherever I go I often used Ilocano and I can’t control myself .There are times that my grammar was erroneous. But, I love Ilocano, I love being an Ilonggo. Every problem in our life and existence has an answer and solution. Everything in the world has an elucidation. Nothing is impossible and dreadful when we believe. Have an enormous trust and reliance in ourselves. Manage our time practice and drill in pronouncing more in our own dialect. There is time for everything. LOVE our own dialect.

ITS CHRISTMAS TIME!

       "Peace and Good Will in Christmas, Dream and Have Successful Life"

The clock strikes at twelve in midnight and everyone is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Our hearts go out to all of our fellow men and relatives and we wish them well. It is the spirit of Christmas. Christmas does something quite miraculous to most of us. The sense of family unity becomes something to be newly cherished. We greet them all with uncritical affection. Peace and good will to all of us. And the last the love that wouldn’t be fades no matter happens and last till eternity. There are times that the peace is disturbed, the good will contracts and we go back striving and the differences of daily life. But the vivacity of Christmas does not fade away. Sharing and giving we can witness in Christmas day. Before Christmas people are making list for the person they will send gifts. Some are selling lanterns. Some are caroling in houses. Remember to be kind and discipline because Christmas happens only once a year. They said, it is not the sharing and giving when it’s Christmas. Instead love our fellow men, forget all the problems had and start a new beginning to have a happy and new ending.

                Change is state of transformation which results in a fundamental shift in the way we perceive and interact with the world. It is altered in appearance, turned into something or someone new and being made different. The concept of change as anyone can castrate the way they are in their lives and become something new. It is important in our lives as it proffer us new experiences whether the change is positive of negative. Change can trigger fear and resistance in just a snap of our fingers. If someone says we need to do it, it can be welcomed by choosing to move forward with an attitude of gratitude for the opportunities change can bring to the quality of our life.

                Change happens every day, every hour, every minute and even every second. We cannot force ourselves to have change in our heart and mind and we’re not expecting to have change but it will happen whether we like it or not and whether if it’s good or bad.
